By installing or using the SnipLocal Chrome extension ("the Extension"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please uninstall the Extension and discontinue use.

2. About SnipLocal

SnipLocal is a free Chrome browser extension developed by Sveltify LLC. It allows users to highlight and save text from webpages to their local browser storage. No account, subscription, or payment is required.

3. License

Sveltify LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Extension for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer the Extension except as permitted by applicable law.

4. Your data

All content you save using SnipLocal is stored locally in your browser. Sveltify LLC has no access to your highlights, notes, or any other content you create. You are solely responsible for managing and backing up your own data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Extension only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Extension to:

  • Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
  • Harvest or scrape content from websites in violation of their terms of service
  • Engage in any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The Extension is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Sveltify LLC does not warrant that the Extension will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with all websites or browser versions.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sveltify LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Extension, including any loss of data.

8. Changes to the Extension or these Terms

Sveltify LLC reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Extension at any time. These Terms may be updated from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of the Extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
